	Fixed Wireless Access Fixed wireless access (FWA) is a technology that uses radio waves to connect a customer's location to the internet without the need for physical cables. FWA systems typically include a base station that's connected to a network, and subscriber units that are spread out over a large area. The base station then uses radio waves to communicate with the subscriber units. FWA uses wireless devices that function like miniature cell towers to connect homes and businesses to the internet. These devices are usually mounted on the roof of a building or a utility pole. FWA can be less expensive to install than fiber optic cable because there's no need to dig up streets to lay cable. 5G FWA offers low latency and high speeds that are comparable to fiber optic connections. FWA is ideal for connecting remote or underserved locations,and is a key technology for bridging the digital divide. It's also perfect for VoIP, CCTV, gaming, and video calls.
