DZS Saber 4400

The DZS Saber platforms were the first to bring hardened coherent optical solutions to the Optical EDGE, delivering up to 400Gbps with each wavelength in modular 1RU solutions that can be deployed in unimproved remote cabinets and huts, resulting in significant savings per location versus traditional solutions, and stacked for extraordinary capacity.

Reaching unamplified distances of up to 120km, the Saber 4400 also supports integrated Optical Fiber amplifier modules (up to 25dB gain) for even greater distances, support  for multi-degree Flex Grid ROADM in the industry’s smallest form factor and transponders/muxponders.

The rollout of high bandwidth Services like 5G and XGS-PON is driving explosive bandwidth growth at the Access EDGE of the network. Over time, today’s legacy 10G and 25G Transport solutions will need to be replaced with 100G and 400G coherent optical solutions. The Saber platforms deliver hardened Access EDGE Transport solutions with full support for 100G and 400G DWDM coherent optics. No need for expensive heat exchanges and air-conditioned cabinets.

Some also include advanced time-sensitive networking features including Timing Grand Master for advanced use in sensitive xHaul and business services. OpenZR+ and XR Optics can be leveraged for game-changing fiber conservation initiatives as well.
